Carol, Owner, is a Licensed Esthetician and Certified Medical Assistant. She served 20 years in the United States Navy as a Corpsman working as a Neurology technician and an Aviation Medical Technician. Her favorite duty station was at HM-14 in Norfolk with the Mighty MH-53 Helicopter. "GO Vanguard".  

Upon retiring in 2004 she worked for a local dermatologist here in Hampton Roads for 16 years as a Medical Assistant and skin care specialist.  When the office closed in 2017 Carol enrolled at Chrysm Esthetics School in Virginia Beach and graduated as a Professional Esthetician in May 2018.

Sugar and Skin Spa was established in June of 2018 and it has grown from a one room spa into the beautiful space it is today with a staff of 12 fabulous professionals! She is so happy to be able to serve people and help them to Love Their Skin Again!

Verné Wine is a Master Esthetician and has been working in the field since 2020. She joined the Sugar and Skin spa family in February of 2023. In her free time she likes to play volleyball, travel and explore new restaurants!

With over 10 years experience in the beauty industry, my passion for Esthetics has only grown. I started my career as a cosmetology apprentice and quickly realized not only my love for skin care, but also my love for education and building confidence in others. I am now a Licensed Master Esthetics Instructor at one of the top rated Esthetics schools in the nation, and truly enjoy providing people with the tools to become successful in a career that is so much fun. I’ve always heard the saying “if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life,” and I’m so grateful to feel that way about teaching and providing clients with the knowledge and treatments needed to accomplish their skin care goals.

I am a Licensed Esthetician who recently joined the Sugar and Skin Spa team. I chose this field because I have always had a passion for helping people feel and look their best by providing the self care they desire. I enjoy spending my free time with friends and family, going to the beach and shopping.

I'm Tallie Frost, a passionate skincare professional and licensed massage therapist at the heart of my wellness practice. My journey in the wellness industry was sparked by a deep-seated desire to enhance others' lives through relaxation, well-being, and health promotion. My diverse expertise in product development, massage, and esthetics education has equipped me with a distinctive set of skills, enabling me to offer exceptional, tailored treatments to my clients.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I'm an avid participant in the beauty and wellness community. I dedicate myself to continuous learning and exploring the latest techniques and trends, ensuring my services remain cutting-edge. Outside the realm of work, I value time spent with family and friends, engage in yoga to rejuvenate my spirit, and satisfy my love for travel.
