About Carol
Carol 'Rood' Kaufman
Carol, Owner, is a Licensed Esthetician and Certified Medical Assistant. She served 20 years in the United States Navy as a Corpsman working as a Neurology technician and an Aviation Medical Technician. Her favorite duty station was at HM-14 in Norfolk with the Mighty MH-53 Helicopter. "GO Vanguard".
Upon retiring in 2004 she worked for a local dermatologist here in Hampton Roads for 16 years as a Medical Assistant and skin care specialist. When the office closed in 2017 Carol enrolled at Chrysm Esthetics School in Virginia Beach and graduated as a Professional Esthetician in May 2018.
Sugar and Skin Spa was established in June of 2018 and it has grown from a one room spa into the beautiful space it is today with a staff of 12 fabulous professionals! She is so happy to be able to serve people and help them to Love Their Skin Again!
